The jacked-up version of the Porsche Taycan is back in California as it nears its debut date. The Taycan Cross Turismo sans camouflage was spotted parked in front of a mall in Southern California. We don’t know what it is doing in Cali but in 2018, during its initial development phase, it was in the state offering test drives to the celebrities.

The crossover looks almost ready for production. The prototype here is completely drenched in black as if someone took the vehicle and dipped it into a large paint barrel. Compared to the regular Taycan, the front bumper has a subtle difference with what appears to be running lights positioned right next to the “intakes”. The production version doesn’t appear to get the bonnet running lights. Other differences we can notice are plastic cladding throughout the vehicle and roof rails. Those wheels look pretty sweet.

Here’s a sneak peek into the production cabin and unsurprisingly, it looks similar to its lowered sibling. You can notice the portrait-style touchscreen on the centre console and also the curved driver display. The positioning of the cup holders is similar too.

As for the technical bits, the Cross Turismo is expected to offer the same options as the AWD Taycan models, with Turbo variant offering 680 hp and Turbo S with over 760 hp.
