The one-off has been sold to a “Bugatti enthusiast” for €11 million

Remember the Bugatti La Voiture Noire? The one-off hypercar that remembers Jean Bugatti’s missing Type 57 SC Atlantic, is almost ready to be handed over to its secret owner, following final rounds of testing. Bugatti has revealed the final, production version of The Black Car.

Speaking of which, it retains all the elements we saw in the prototype, including the shape of the headlights (if we can call them that), bonnet outlets, a curvy light strip at the rear, and of course, those 6 tailpipes. Notice the additional louvers on the roof that were not part of the prototype. While the production wheels (20-inch front; 21-inch rear) appear clean at first glance, if you look again, you’ll notice complicated shapes in the background. The wheels are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres.

The interior still appears to be off-limits, but it’ll most likely be similar to Chiron with some bespoke touches. Bugatti said that it has covered the entire interior with grain leather in Havana Brown — inspired by the historical model. Specially polished and turned aluminum inlays add the necessary contrast, and so is a rosewood switch for flipping through drive modes.

Bugatti didn’t share any technical information, but the 8.0L W16 quad-turbo motor will most likely produce 1,177 kW or 1,600 metric hp. What it did share, however, is that the La Voiture Noire has “already been sold to a Bugatti enthusiast for 11 million euros (before tax)”.
