Mercedes-Benz is happy to announce that the next generation of the Super Leicht Roadster has completed its extensive digital development steps, test stand runs and simulator trials, and has now entered a scheduled phase of dynamic driving tests.
Following the tests at the Group’s own Test and Technology Centre in Immendingen, the camouflaged Roadster will be tested at places where most of these will spend most of their days on — the public roads.
As for the styling, some of the cues are obviously going to come from the GT family while the rest from the upcoming S-Class. Notice that the car in front has trapezoidal tailpipes unlike the oval tailpipes in the trailing car.
The new SL Roadster is expected to make its official debut sometime in 2021.
