Last Lamborghini Aventador to be auctioned off on April 19

Last of the legend.

Lamborghini has confirmed that the Aventador successor is gonna be a V12-powered plug-in hybrid, which is really good news because the V12 has still got a few more years to live before it joins the history books as one of the greatest naturally aspirated large engines ever built. But the sad news is that the Aventador production has come to an end, which you might already know, and the last ever unit is gonna be auctioned off along with an NFT by RM Sotheby’s on April 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM CET/12:00 PM EST.

The last unit is, of course, the LP 780-4 Ultimae (coupé), featuring a special paintjob created in collaboration with musician Steve Aoki and a digital artist by the name of Krista Kim. The paintjob is a gradient that transitions from blue to black, customized by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division.

Lamborghini said that the lucky collector will be part of the brand’s legacy and will have access to VIP utilities, which include exclusive virtual previews of future limited edition Lamborghini models, a private tour of the Museo Lamborghini, and a virtual “Meet and Greet” with Steve Aoki and Krista Kim, plus other VIP benefits.
